TOP 5 FOOD THAT ARE GREAT FOR YOUR SKIN HEALTH

 

Welcome back everybody!

Today I will be branching off of my top 10 Ten Skincare Tip post to present the top 5 foods that are great for your skin! When you are properly hydrating your body, eating healthy foods, and caring for your skin externally you will be able to see the fastest results on your skin. Eating foods for your skin health is equally as Important because what goes into your body will most definitely show on your skin.

#1 Fish

Fatty Fish are rich in Omega 3 Fatty Acids which help reduce inflammation. There have also been studies that show people who take fish oil supplements on a regular basis have a higher chance of fighting inflammatory and auto-immune conditions that ca affect your skin such as psoriasis.

 

#2 Tomatoes

Besides the fact that tomatoes are high in Vitamin C, they are also an excellent source of carotenoids. Carotenoids are plant pigments responsible for bright red, yellow and orange hues in many fruits and vegetables and are excellent for maintaining bright skin! Carotenoids such as  Beta-carotene, lutein and lycopene may prevent wrinkles in the skin and also are very well known to protect your skin from the sun.

 

#3 Dark Chocolate

When you consume dark chocolate, you have to make sure its at least 70% Cocoa to really see any of the benefits. Contrary to popular belief, eating chocolate does not cause pimples! One of the many benefits of consuming dark chocolate is that it helps in reducing dark spots and pigmentation. It actually works on keeping your skin moisturized, improves collagen content and boosts circulation!

 

#4 Green Tea

Green tea is best known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. The Catechins, which are all natural antioxidants, are found in the green tea to combat inflammation in the skin as well as any cancerous changes. Regular consumers of green tea have shown improvement in treating acne and oily skin due to it anti-microbial properties.

 

#5 Avocado

Avocado are rich in vitamin E which helps in prevention of oxidative damage. They also contain compounds that help prevent wrinkles and other signs of aging due to exposure from the suns UV rays.
